Everything you need to know about the USA's #1 Spooky Season Festival

 

Is Frights’n Lights scary for young children?

Frights’n Lights is designed to be a family fun Halloween event with just the right amount of silly and spooky, bridging the gap between basic pumpkin patches and horrific haunted houses. While we can’t guarantee there won’t be a few subtle scares, we put FUN before FEAR.

Does my child need to wear a costume to participate?

No. Come as you are or come in disguise. Costumes are optional for adults and children (but lots of fun)!

 

Where is Frights'n Lights located?

Frights’n Lights is located in Frisco, TX at Riders Field (formerly Dr Pepper Ballpark).

Address: 7300 Roughriders Trail, Frisco, TX.

What time do you open?

Frights'n Lights is open Oct 1- Oct 31. Opening and closing times vary by day. Please check our operating calendar for details HERE. Note: We are opening earlier this year for the little ones.

 

Is there a charge for parking?

Parking is $10 for this Halloween event, but is free with the purchase of a VIP add-on ticket. We accept credit and debit cards, but no cash.

 

Where do I park?

Once you arrive at Rider's Field, follow the signs to the designated parking lot

Can I purchase tickets the day of the show at the location?

Yes, but we highly recommend that you purchase tickets online, ahead of time. 

 

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Credit and Debit. We do not accept cash at our Box Office.

Can my tickets be exchanged or refunded?

Before purchasing please note that all sales are final. No Refunds will be be issued including due to inclement weather, unless Frights' n Lights has been closed for the evening.

What ticket do I need to purchase for my family?

All members of the family ages 3 and above must first purchase a General Admission Ticket. Child's General Admission is required for ages 3-11. No General Admission ticket is required for kids under 3.  Adults are 12 years old and above. This ticket gives you admission to the park to enjoy the thousands of lights and lanterns as well as admission to all attractions and rides.*  For an upgraded experience, we suggest the additional purchase of a VIP ticket. This add-on ticket is never free, even for children under 3 years old.

(*does not include axe throwing which is an add-on experience).

Is the VIP Experience an ADD-ON ticket?

Yes, the VIP Experience is an upgraded experience. General Admission tickets must first be purchased.

What does the Frights'n Lights VIP Add-On ticket include?

  • Trick-or-Treat Trail with 10 candy collection locations throughout the park. (Bag provided)

  • Halloween non- alcoholic punch in a souvenir Frights'n Lights  Cup  with unlimited FREE refills.

  • All-new Interactive Scavenger Hunt- "The Headless Horseman HiJacks Halloween". Find clues and solve puzzles hidden among the lanterns to save spooky season!

  • Private Meet & Greet and photo op with one of our costumed characters (You may take photos on your own phone or camera). 

  • Membership to Frank N. Shine's BOO BRIGADE with exclusive membership card and souvenir pin.

  • FREE parking

  • FREE pumpkin to paint in our 'Paint a Pumpkin' craft area.

  • Souvenir Glow Stick

  • 10% discount on retail items at Frights'n Lights

Can I change the date of my tickets once I have ordered them?

You may make changes to you order after you have placed it. However, you will be charged a $5.00 ticket change fee. If inclement weather forces us to close Frights'n Lights, this fee will be waived.

Are tickets refundable?

No. All sales are final at Frights'n Lights.  If  you wish to change the date of your ticket, we are able to accomodate your request for a $5 ticket change fee. We do offer ticket insurance at the time of purchase. What happens in the event of bad weather?​

Our goal is to open Frights’n Lights regardless of bad weather. However, if we are concerned about extremely hazardous weather, we will not open for the safety of our guests. Please check our Facebook page and Instagram story for updates. If we are forced to close, you may switch the date of your ticket for no additional charge however, we do not issue refunds. Please read our refund policy above.

Will there be food and beverages to purchase at Frights’n Lights?

Yes, we have food, drinks and grab-and-go fun items to purchase throughout the park including special Halloween Slushies and monstrous menu items! See our park map for menu details and locations.

Are pets allowed?

Although we LOVE fur babies, due to the electrical involved in lighting certain elements of the attraction, we do not allow pets for their own safety. We do however make an exception for service animals and allow them into the event.

Do you have a pumpkin patch so I can take family photographs?

YES! We have pumpkins for the perfect Fall family portrait. All of them may be purchased if you want to take one to go! We also have a craft area where smaller pumpkins can be painted and personalized.

 

What is the Headless Horseman’s Haunted Hay Maze? 

As the name suggests, this is a fun and interactive hay maze featuring lighting, sound and smoke effects based around the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, by American author Washington Irving.

You might lose your way, but the Horseman promises us you won't lose your head. 

 

Is it too scary for children?

Our Maze was designed as a family fun Halloween event with just the right amount of silly and spooky. Everything we create makes Frights’n Lights is with this goal in mind. While we can’t guarantee there won’t be a few subtle scares, we put FUN before FEAR.

Will restrooms be available?

Yes, Riders Field has a large number of restroom facilities. 

​
